Individual therapy for OCPD...
and the perfectionism and criticism that come with it.
I offer focused, specialized individual therapy for adults with OCPD and the perfectionism, rigidity, and self-criticism that come with it — whether those patterns currently show up as exhausting over-function or as depression and shutdown. The work goes deeper than symptom management: it’s aimed at the patterns underneath, and at real change in how you respond.
work with me
- Perfectionism that never lets up
- Rigidity, and difficulty letting go of control
- Harsh self-criticism
- Feeling driven rather than free
- shutdown under the weight of it all
- The impact these patterns can have on relationshipS
What This Work Helps With
Some are functioning well. Others are finding everyday life much harder than it once was.
The People I Support
Schema therapy is the core framework I work from. We go beneath the surface: noticing the patterns and internal states driving things, connecting them to how you respond day to day, and tracing where they came from. Change shows up in how you actually live, not just in what you understand. It's active, collaborative work, not just talking things through.
MY APPROACH
the format
Sessions are held over secure telehealth video. I work exclusively with clients located in California or Michigan. We meet for 50 minutes, typically once a week.
This is a self-pay practice. I provide superbills automatically each month, which you're welcome to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please send me a message and I'm happy to talk through pricing directly.
what to expect
You'll complete some intake paperwork, so we can spend our time together on the actual work, not the logistics. The work starts early. As patterns show up, we start noticing the schemas and modes at play together, connecting what's happening inside you to how you respond, and tracing where these patterns came from.
the truth about what’s working
Honesty Over Reassurance
We build a shared picture of what's actually driving things early on, and set goals that matter to you, not generic ones. After that, progress isn't something either of us assumes. We check in on it directly, on a regular basis, and if something isn't working, I'll say so. You're entitled to the truth about what's helping, not just the feeling that something is happening.
